It's been a bit "dry" here with posts, sorry, but I've been to Greece (not Athens thank God, great that they've controlled the fire now though). I went to a small island called Samos and it has been lovely, but I can tell you that my fingers have itched since I haven't been able to play guitar To talk about something else. During my holiday (and before) I've read the book by/about Johnny Cash, the biography. I must say that it has really inspired me and he has lived such an interesting life. He tells the truth about his life and it shows how easy you can missjudge people when you only have the rumors and magazines to base your opinion on. I play Johnny Cash songs, the most famous ones, but I will definitely dig my way into his work and listen to more of his songs. It's a great tip for you who haven't read it. I will soon begin to read Eric Claptons biography... Who is Johnny Cash for you? Johan Fredriksson

You are truly a legend! I hope that you will find a nice spot in heaven where you can jam all day long! You WILL be remebered! Had a gig yesterday, it was

exhausting. Played between 18-22. About 60 songs!! I haven't played too much acoustic guitar during this summer but it still feels like I've improved. I'm suprised that the voice lasted the entire gig. Because when you sing for several hours the low frequency part of your voice tend to dissapear. So there is a reason why you sing Johnny Cash songs in the beginning of a gig On wednesday (19th) I'm going to Greece but before that I'll have another gig. This one is a bit more seriuos, with magazines writing about it and so on. The people who are listening aren't filled with alcohol as the usually are when you play at a pub. The songs I'll play San Fransisco Bay Blues That's Alright Mama Country Roads Rock n' Roll Ruby Greenback Dollar Mrs Robinson Bye Bye Love Johnny Cash Medley Bed Of Roses OWN SONG (one of them) Maybe This Years Love Kom Ihåg Mig (Swedish) Hallelujah Sånt Är Livet (Swedish) Tutti Frutti Ayo Technology (if I can learn the lyrics, haha) Summertime Blues It Ain't Me Babe Coming Around The Mountain Stay tuned! I might upload a video from the gig Take Care Johan Fredriksson

It's time that things start to happen, it really itches in my fingers, I can't wait to write new songs, I have so many ideas flowing and chords & melodies are played in my head all day long.
That's one thing about writing music, you can't force yourself to write, it is just a feeling that comes to you, the same as when you need to take a pee for eg.
I will celebrate my 20th birthday in our summerplace and I'll bring my guitar to sing and play for my relatives (it's a wish from them so it's not something I do every time ). It's good with some practice in front of people since I have two gigs coming up this week and I have a few new songs I need to play.
I have great news for thoose of you who are waiting for new original songs. Tomorrow I will get a keyboard (?) or a MIDI-claviature. This means that I can get more depth in my music and hopefully learn how to add drums...
I've also bought a Boss GT10 and wondering of buying a Les Paul, the following months may be interesting

I've decided to start a blog and everything I'll write will be in English. The content of the blog will be (more or less) only about music.
I don't really have a "plan" for what the content will be but I think I'll write about music in general, give tips for great songs and write about my own music (if that's interesting). It will all be about music, from my view.
I hope that some of you will be interested in following my blog and please come up with tips that I can write about.
Maybe subjects like this (please, give me tips)
  * Give tips on great songs * Write about wringing songs * Music/guitar-tips
If you want to make a comment you press "kommentera" and write your name under "författare".
Hope I'll see you around
